Windham & The Surrounding Area
We think Windham is absolutely the best place in the world to live! Most people who've spent time here would agree that it’s a fabulous place. The natives are friendly and there's fresh air, open spaces and tons of restaurants, music at the local pubs, unique shops, a health spa, fitness club, movie theatre and all kinds of outdoor activities.
We are the home of Windham Mountain, making many winter sporting activities available; skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and snow tubing!
In spring, summer and fall there's hiking, fishing, cycling, mountain biking and plenty of golf! The Windham Country Club is a pristine 18-hole course with the Roland Stafford Golf School right there to provide lessons; just west of town you'll find Christman’s Pleasant View Golf Course. They have a 9-hole course and a challenging 18-hole mountain course. In addition, it is the home of The Ben Sutton Golf School offering clinics and lessons.
Windham is also the host of many great summer events including Warrior Dash, where competitors race up the mountain obstacle course, getting drenched in mud along the way. It’s a great event to watch or participate in, if you can handle it! The World Cup Mountain Bike Race is also held in Windham some years; where racers from all over the world come to our small town to compete for the trophy. There is always something fun and new coming to town for the community to enjoy.
